There will be a full writeup about the race soon, with lots of pictures and some video.

Also, we are planning the next race for sometime early november. More info will be posted about it soon. We already have decided that all the race events will be inside a parking garage, so bad weather shouldnt be as big of a deal.

PBR Poker - Info updated

for all you google readers, and rss feeders the

PBR Poker - Info page has been updated.

PBR Poker - Oct 10th 3pm

****UPDATED - Map Posted *****

So this is how its gonna work.

5 Checkpoints. At each one you will get a PBR bottle cap. On each bottle cap is a playing card. So after the 5 checkpoints each racer will have a 5 card poker hand. Expect to have to chug 'something' at minimum 2 checkpoints.

There are benefits to being back quickly. The top racers will have an advantage, for example First Place might receive a wildcard cap, second gets an extra cap, and so on.

1st thru 3rd will also get a portion of the cash pot (20% - 10% - 5%)

the rest of the pot will goto the person with the best poker hand.

the meeting location is at the buffalo on campus next to folsom field.

follow @BAC_Races for up to date information, Direct Message if you see this and want to help sponsor the event.

Also, i will be handing out spoke cards for the below classifications where they apply.

Yellow - Fastest Overall Time
Green - Sprint Points (Checkpoints)
PolkaDot - King of the Mountains Points
White - Fastest young rider (age<20)>

BAC Stage Winner - First person @ each Checkpoint (*)

Thursday night Fixed Gear Ride #4

Afterwards we are all going to goto the Bicycle Film Festival at Old Main on campus. Bring 10$

Ride 8-9pm

Thursday night Fixed Gear Ride

Hey yall, lets start Thursday night fixed gear rides. Here's why:
1. The
cruiser ride sucks/You're over it
2. The cruiser ride is for cruisers (going slow)
3. The people on the cruiser rides are either a. elitist middle aged people or b. underage kids on dept. store mountain bikes
4.
Loops is fun but its a pain in the ass to go to Denver all the time
5. We can do whatever we want depending on who's there, meaning we can bomb hills if we want, stop to stunt, drink beers, socialize, we can cruise the creek path, loop downtown, whatever. If we post the route online before the ride people can meet up with us whenever.
6. We can have our own after-parties wherever we want.
7. More of a "fixed gear community" will emerge?

Comment if you're down.
-Peter

I wholeheartedly agree with everything peter has said. Lets get this party started. So tomorrow night lets all meet at Cafe Roma, gives us prime access to coffee and liquor. If we need to buy alot more beer we can goto liquor mart.

OK UPDATE 8pm at the buffalo
